Albania

Albania's allure lies in its exceptional combination of rich history, diverse culture, and breathtaking natural landscapes, which has captivated the hearts of many, including my wife Kelly and me. In fact, we were so drawn to the country that we've had the privilege of visiting it not once but twice.

During our second trip, a serendipitous encounter introduced us to a remarkable couple, Altin and Zana Dumka. Their warmth and hospitality immediately made us feel like old friends. They graciously invited us into their homes, sharing not just traditional Albanian dishes but also their genuine friendship. What truly left an indelible mark on us was witnessing the incredible work they do within their community.

Altin and Zana are unwaveringly committed to addressing a critical issue in their area—food insecurity. They opened our eyes to the real challenges many families in Albania face when it comes to putting food on the table. Their dedication to serving the community and alleviating hunger is nothing short of inspiring.

From the day we crossed paths with Altin and Zana, Kelly and I knew we wanted to be a part of their mission. Their dedication to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most resonated deeply with us. We've since been actively involved in supporting their community ministry, contributing in any way we can to help provide for families facing food insecurity.

In the end, it's these personal connections and the impact of individuals like Altin and Zana that truly exemplify the remarkable essence of Albania. The country's beauty and culture are brought to life through the heartfelt actions of those who work tirelessly to create positive change in their communities. Our journey to Albania has not only allowed us to witness the nation's allure but also to play a small role in contributing to the well-being of its people, thanks to our enduring friendship with Altin and Zana.
