To receive anything from the God we serve, we must ask! To find something, anything, we must seek! To get any door to open, we must knock! So, I’m asking, seeking, and knocking at the entrance of your heart to join me in bringing sustainable clean drinking water to the people of Maje. Clean water is one of the most impactful changes that can be brought to any community—our project of upgrading the installation of a water filtration system in the indigenous Emberá community of Maje will bring wellness. Unfortunately, the pipes often get clogged with each storm because the river is in the jungle. Also, since this system does not treat the water for bacteria and parasites, the village members must boil it before each use, which often does not happen, so many villagers are sick often. The Emberá tribe is one of the most prominent indigenous groups in Panama. One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” ~ Proverbs 11:24-25 ~

For the last year, my brother Fernando has been working hand in hand with a community of over 350 to help improve their living conditions while working to preserve their cultural identity and, most importantly, demonstrating the love of Jesus in ACTION.

Our progress so far is acquiring (7) seven SimPure UV Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Systems. The cost,

Purchasing the same unit in Panama is $721.00 for each system, plus a year and six months of replacement filters not included. The above water purifier systems can filter up to 400 gallons per day, eliminating 99.999 of the contaminants in the water.

To move forward or onward, we will need (1) pump and (1) tank for each of the (7) filters already purchased.

In early June, we sent out an email requesting financial support for a water purification project that my brother Fernando Jonas in Panama is spearheading on behalf of GodF1rst.org.

We sincerely want to thank everyone who generously donated to the people of Embera, Maje village water filtration program.

This project will help to provide clean, safe drinking water to hundreds of people in the Maje community. The water in Maje will no longer be contaminated with bacteria and other pollutants, which can cause various health problems, including diarrhea, vomiting, and cholera. Here is the beginning of installing the water filtration system stations that will remove these contaminants, making them safe for drinking and cooking.

We are so grateful for the financial support of this critical project. Your donation has made a real difference in the lives of the Embera people of Maje. Thank you again for your generosity.

Dear ministry friends, we need your help with this ongoing effort. As you know, contaminated drinking water and poor sanitation are linked to the transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio. Absent, inadequate, or inappropriately managed water and sanitation services expose individuals to preventable health risks.

Your gift to the water purification project will help the Emberá community "Where Most Needed" equips us with the resources, materials, and equipment to fulfill our mission of relief and evangelism wherever God is working; GodF1rst relies entirely on the provision of God, for our finances. As a ministry, we are meant to depend on God for provision, meaning we should look to him to provide for us when our means seem inadequate. The miracle of Jesus feeding five thousand people is the premier biblical example of God providing when our measures seem insufficient. Join me in His blessings – Thank you, we couldn't do this without you!

To donate, go to www.godf1rst.org. It is transparent and secure to give, even to set up monthly recurring gifts to child sponsorship that will bring generational transformation to the community of Maje.

~ Proverbs 19:17 ~ He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord, and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Your influence will impact the lost and the Body of Christ through your prayers, and with your labor of love, we can change the lives of the Emberá community of Maje.
